Why We Give

The Old Testament teaches about tithing - giving 10% of your income to the Lord for the work of the ministry. But in the New Testament Paul talks about generosity and how giving is more about our heart posture.

We believe our time, abilities, and finances ought to be given back to God with a heart of gratitude and thankfulness as an act of worship and dedication to the Lord.

As we each continue our journey with Christ, let us challenge ourselves to continue to deepen our faith through our giving. We can do that by taking a look at our current pattern of giving and, in faith, take the next step toward openhanded, generous discipleship.

For some of us, that might mean taking the step of giving for the very first time. For others, that might mean beginning to give regularly and purposefully (weekly/monthly). And for some it might mean openhanded, sacrificial giving. We can give confidently know He will use and bless our giving to further His Kingdom work.
